Purpose
The purpose of this document is to identify a “white glove” approach which supports Accountants adding subscriptions in Sage for Accountants.
Insight
Sage for Accountants provides an opportunity to transform the way we do business today moving away from manual handholding when it comes to the onboarding of Accountants' clients and into a self-serve experience (allowing Accountant to self-serve 24/7 without time delay or promotional codes) freeing up resources for both practices and Sage and future-proofing our business model. The challenge is that Accountants are increasingly busy due to regulatory and client demand with a hiring crisis vastly approaching the industry.
Competitor
Our largest competitors (QBO & Xero) are providing an assisted service via their sales teams, it is uncertain due to competitors reducing resources in other areas e.g., onboarding/webinars and is vague if this will be a continued service they will look to provide. This would be a core differentiator for us.
Problem
One route to market via self-serve and not offering a customer success approach poses challenges that could be a blocker.
Existing behaviours – we have trained Accountants to rely on us and today we have a fully serviced model. A human element is critical in our transition
